LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics
This year, instead of differently shaped and decorated Christmas soaps for each fragrance line, B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful
opted to bore us all to death with round soaps, all the same style, simply in different colours.

In B Scent's case, this so-called "Christmas Soap" is really just the original year-round B Scent Soap, but that it comes round
rather than square.

The proof is in the pudding (funny Christmas pun!):  B's website has simply opted to feature the original soap's description instead
of a writing a Christmas-y description as they've done for the other fragrance lines' Christmas Soaps.  Even the ingredients list is
the same, what with "dependant on colour soap" merely referring to the fact that the original B Soap (which they discontinued
only 4 months ago!) used to come in 3 different colours.

Fair enough if they want to be boring and lacking in imagination, but shouldn't they at least pretend that's
not what they're doing?

Product description from the B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Website:

Using the gently effective cleansing properties of sea salt, our signature soaps take the eternally chic B Scent fragrance and translate it
into a creamy, conditioning lather that smoothes and softens skin. Essences of grapefruit, fennel, jasmine and rose are sure to
brighten your mood and boost your confidence too!

Fragrance description from the B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Website:

The story of our captivating signature scent should really begin in Paris. The capital of romance is the perfect setting for B Scent, a
fragrance that captures the essence of all that is chic, elegant and sparklingly sophisticated. It was created with the film ‘Sabrina’ in
mind – the enchanting story of an American teenager who goes to Paris an awkward, ugly duckling but returns a confident swan. All its
soft, piquant notes of lemon and grapefruit capture this girl’s innocence and ‘joie de vivre’ while sweet fennel and a hint of musk add a
touch of the alluring young siren. A delightful coming of age fragrance to enjoy everyday.

Still Life bath bomb is so uplifting you'll feel as if you're being carried along on a flying carpet. The citrus oils are marvelous things; they
do wake you up but they don't set your buzzing; they help to clarify your thoughts so you feel as though life is no longer rushing by out of
control. Bathe in a Still Life bath bomb and observe the pattern which the sunflower petals make in your bath.

Sexy Pell was launched only a few months ago.  Created by Wesley at Lush UK, he's responsible for quite a few of the latest
soaps to grace Lush's shelves.  I have declared 2006 as The Year of the Wesley, as his latest collection of soaps are some of his
greatest creations ever!  The man is a genius.  (And he's also a super nice bloke to boot.)

Product description from the Lush North America Website:

Sexy peel is one of those Lush products like Avobath which makes more sense when you say it. "I'll have a bit of Sexy Peal please."
See what we mean? For a while we called it Marmalade because it does have chunks of citrus fruit peel in it, plus fresh lemon, lime
and grapefruit juices. Everyone who remembers Back for Breakfast shower gel will want a BIG bar of Sexy Peel; wash with it to give
yourself sexy skin.

Ingredients list from the Lush North America Website:

Water (Aqua), Sodium Palm Kernelate, Propylene Glycol, Cornstarch (Zea mays), Lime Peel, Lemon Peel, Grapefruit Peel, Sodium
Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Fresh Lime Juice (Citrus limetta), Fresh Lemon Juice (Citrus limonum), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia),

Product description from the June 1996 Lush Times:

Lush
by name and Lush by nature.  We let our imagination run riot with this one.  Packed full of exciting fruity smells, the most
noticeable of these being the blackcurrant supported by the deep forest smell of patchouli and labdanum.  That's what we call
Lush.

Ingredients list from the June 1996 Lush Times:

DRF Alcohol, perfume, chamomile oil, jasmine absolute, violet leaf absolute, oakmoss absolute, neroli oil, cypress oil, patchouli oil,
lime oil.
As a US LUSH customer, did you know that unlike other Lush conquered countries, there are not only price differences between
Lush UK and Lush North America, but also
within Lush North America?

Depending on what you're interested in purchasing, a trip to an American store may be cheaper than ordering online.  On the
other hand, it can sometimes actually be more expensive than mail order, even with the additional cost of shipping.  For larger
orders, sometimes it may even be more cost effective to order from Lush UK.  Then again, it might not.  Not only does no single
venue possess the lowest product prices right across the boards, but things like exchange rates, total shipping weight,
promotions, etcetera always play a role in such determinations.

Hence, for your convenience, we've created a spreadsheet for you -- updated with the latest products, prices, shipping specials,
and promotions on the 1st of every month -- in the hope that this will aid you in getting the biggest bang from your Lush dollar.

Simply add product quantities and fees for your preferred shipping option per our provided rate charts and everything else is done
for you!

Use it to prepare wish lists, to figure out which products are available in one country but not another, or to work within a specific
budget (should you have that kind of discipline -- bless those who do!)

Additionally, for those leading so called group orders (combining several peoples' orders into one large order to save on shipping
fees -- or better yet, to just do your mates a favour because you live near a LUSH store and they don't), we've even included an
invoicing feature for each person ordering with you.  No more adding products, prices, and converting from sterling pounds to
dollars for overseas group orders!  Woo hoo!

I have spent several weeks working on this feature for you and I truly hope it is helpful to you!

The December 2006 version of our spreadsheet is sort of a "beta" version if you will, as it's our first ever!

If you have suggestions for improving upon this spreadsheet, or if there are any other helpful features that you'd like to see added to
this spreadsheet,
email me, and I will make certain to add them to the following month's updated spreadsheet.

Also, thus far, I've only posted a version suitable for US customers because these are the only Lushies I know who not only experience
so many varying prices in their own country, but who also regularly place group orders from both Lush NA & Lush UK.

But if you are a Lushie from the UK, AU, or NZ, and would like a spreadsheet prepared to suit your needs,
email me and I will do my
best to create an additional spreadsheet for your country, as well!
Today we bring you a spankin' new site feature:  The Gambler's Spread(sheet)!

And tomorrow we'll be featuring a new page in our Cosmetics To Go Scrapbook:  all their lovely bath products!

In the meantime, I'm just finishing up on all of our Christmas decorations and getting all the new Christmas reviews and a
Chrismtas competition (to win a Wish List hatbox, you lucky ducks! Or rather, lucky partridges in pear trees?) ready for our month
long Christmas party here at the Lounge!  Woo hoo!
Yesterday we brought you a spankin' new site feature:  The Gambler's Spread(sheet)!

And today we're  featuring a new page in our Cosmetics To Go Scrapbook:  their original line of lovely bath products!

What will tomorrow bring?

Hmmm...I don't know.  Are you ready for our month long Christmas party here at the Lounge?

If not, you'd better
get  ready!  :)
THE COSMETICS TO GO Scrapbook
See the first ever "bath fizzies" and "Bath Bombs" ever to grace planet Earth, thanks to the genius of Mo Constantine!

And don't fret about drooling all over the Champagne and Peppermint Cream baths.  We've got enough tissues to go around.  :)
So Christmas is finally upon us, and The Lushie Lounge has finally dressed herself up in her fancy Christmas garb, ready to ring
the holiday in with all of you!

And to kick off the month long Christmas party here at the Lounge, we've got a few rare treats for you to enjoy -- so rare, that the
following products have, until now, never before been formally reviewed or pictured anywhere else on the internet!

I've not only recently found my old notes reviewing the Chilly Bon Bom experience (on a five year old faded to yellow scrap of
paper), but I also found my old reviews for the Three Wise Men and A Brace Of Snowmen gifts where Mr. Chilly was featured on
his own in North America.  I found these gifts to be big hits as stocking stuffers for both gals and guys alike, and I'm quite pleased
to be able to add these reviews for you to enjoy!  (Well, they certainly serve a better purpose here than they do under my file
cabinet.  Yes,
under my file cabinet.  'Cuz I'm quite organized and tidy like that.  So as you can probably guess, New Years
Resolution #1 is...  Eh, there's no point, really is there?  Because I clearly haven't managed to keep that resolution for the past five
years, have I?

Chilly Bon Bom was a limited edition snowman Bath Ballistic for Christmas 2001.

And though he was available for purchase on his own in the UK, for some strange reason he was only made available in gift sets
in North America.  Those gift sets were:  Golden Friendsy, Stocking Fella, Three Wise Men, and A Brace Of Snowmen.

Product description from the Yuletide 2001 Lush Times:

The snowman is back, looking the same but smelling different.  This Christmas the snowman will dissolve in a fizz of invigorating
lemongrass, refreshing palmarossa and spicy jacaranda oils; he is ideal for waking up the kids in the morning (as if...) and even better
for waking up adults.  As the nights get longer and it's more difficult to get out of bed in the morning, tempt yourself into the bathroom
with a Chilly Bon Bom or two.  You can also buy the gift set trio; Lush snowmen disguised as Three Wise Men.  This saves wrapping
them yourself.

Ingredients list from the Yuletide 2001 Lush Times:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Lemongrass OI (Cymbopogan flexuosus), Palmarossa Oil
(Cymbopogan martini), Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Perfume.
Product description from the Yuletide 2001 Lush Times:

Two of our delicious citrus green scented snowmen together in a beautiful gold striped package.  A perfect modern replacement for
the tangerine in your stockings!
Product description from the Yuletide 2001 Lush Times:

Three refreshingly citrussy-green scented, white coloured snowmen peeping out of a cellophane bag tied with tartan ribbon, looking
for a good home where they can jump in the bath and dissolve themselves in a mass of fizzing fragrance.
Today, in addition to posting a TON of pictures of everyone's Christmas trees for you to enjoy as part of our fun new

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful Christmas Gifts!

And though the majority of their single item Christmas products for 2006 lack a certain amount of imagination in my opinion (as
well as quality of presentation), I strongly advise you to snap up a few of their Christmas Stockings, which we've reviewed for you
today!  This gift is a must have not just as a gift, but as a revolutionary 21st century take on mantle-hung stockings!  So be sure to
buy one for every fashionista in the family (as well as a few for yourself)!

The Baby Face bar is another of our solid cleansers which we developed in order to avoid using preservatives on the skin. It melts on
the skin so you can softly smooth it all over the places which need cleansing (it's an excellent make-up remover) then to take it off use
warm water on 100% cotton wool or a face cloth and you will be astonished at both how lovely and soft your face feels and how clean
the Baby Face gets it. Each smiling bar has four different natural plant butters in it to remove dirt and put back moisture. Its lovely scent
comes from toning tangerine oil, narcissus (which we use to make so you beautiful you'll want to look at your reflection all the time)
and everlasting flower (to give you everlasting beauty).

In 2001, Lush's limited edition Snowcake Christmas Soap was redesigned as a large snowman and renamed "Big Ed."

Product description from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

Big Ed is almost new; fans of Snowcake will recognise the scent and texture of out lovely, creamy Christmas soap but will be surprised
to find it in the shape of a snowman's head when wandering around the Lush shops later this year. You don't get the whole head for
$6.95; you get a slice of it (but we're sure he can't feel it). The almond and fragrant fruity perfume is probably our most evocative of
Christmas. We know that some of you stock up on Snowcake to last the whole year round so make sure you're at the front of the queue
for Big Ed.

Ingredients list from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Titanium Dioxide, Perfume, Benzoin
Resinoid (Styrax benzoin), Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Cassie Absolute (Acacia farnesiana), Glycerine, Sodium Chloride,

Today we have new product reviews for a Christmas bath, a Christmas soap, and a Fresh Face Mask to make your skin look
fabulous for New Year's Eve!
Product description from the Lush UK Website:

We don't much like the idea of going under the knife to make ourselves look younger. How about being proud of living as long as we
have and still being here to tell the tale? That said, every now and again you may like to take away the fine lines just for a few hours to
look your absolute best for a special occasion. Ayesha does that. This deep green, magical mask uses fresh, cleansing asparagus,
astringent witch hazel, elderflower and limeflower and kaolin to tighten the skin temporarily, naturally. Use it wisely. Apply to clean skin;
leave on for 5-10 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Use when you need to.

This is the Bath Ballistic from which Lush's limited edition Christmas Carol and Fairy Jasmine With Wings Bath Ballistics were
born.

Do note that though Fairy Jasmine is still available from Lush UK, Lush North America has had to put it on hold due to FDA control
issues over its glitter content, their now having "flagged" the product name "Fairy Jasmine".  Hence, Lushies from North America
have their Christmas Carol baths, but not their Fairy Jasmine baths at the moment.  (A similar issue occurred with Ruby Red
Slippers Bubble Bar, which is why Lush North America has renamed it "Holiday Bubble Bar.")

Product description from the Lush North America Website:

We were going to save this one for Christmas time but we couldn't wait. The Fairy Jasmine Ballistic, no surprises, smells of beautiful
jasmine flowers, mixed with a bunch of relaxing ylang ylang blossom and calming vetivert. Each one is full of iridescent fairy dust that
floats on the surface of the bath water then covers your body with sparkly bits. Don't use it if you work in the City, wear pinstripes and
have to go to meetings looking serious (with absolutely no sparkly bits in your hair). DO use it if you think that smelling of flowers and
having sparkly bits in your hair will enhance your daily life

Ingredients list from the Lush North America Website:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fairy Dust (Polybutylene terephthalate & Acrylates copolymer), Perfume, Jasmine Absolute
(Jasminum officinale), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), D&C Red No. 33, D&C Violet No. 2

One of Lush's all-time greatest Christmas baths, Plum Duff was released in 2001, and it is actually the Sugar Plum Fairy ballistic
without the glitter and confetti. Sugar Plum was released the following year (2002) as a "souped up" version of the Plum Duff.
They share the same exact scent, but Plum Duff gives you a deeper plum-coloured bath (whereas Sugar Plum makes the water
more of a pastel pink.)

Product description from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

The Plum Duff is a big, plum coloured Bath Ballistic that gives you a deep plum coloured bath scented with fruity fragrances. It's
another of those marvellous pudding alternatives that helps you to enjoy the Yuletide holidays without piling on the extra ounces. As it's
also scented with spicy sandalwood, said to help bring peace and acceptance, plus benzoin to help you let go of worries, it's a good
one to a bathe in just before all the relations arrive.

Ingredients list from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Sandalwood Oil, Tangerine Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Colour 18050 & 61585
Product description from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

We recommend the Lavender Snowflower for your Christmas party gift. It's small, it's beautiful, and it doesn't break the bank. What's
more, if people have already got one, it doesn't matter! In addition to the relaxing but refreshing lavendin oil (made from a hybrid
lavender flower) we use sandalwood to soothe your mind. Hence the Lavender Snowflower is a perfect end to children's parties; their
parents can dunk them in the bath and they'll quiet down in no time, even if they've spent all afternoon overdosing on fizzy drinks and
chocolate (the same goes for office parties).

Today we have new reviews of some of Lush's all-time greatest Christmas baths, plus a mighty good Christmas gift!

I must say, I miss Lush's Fancy Three Bath Ballistic trios.  They made for excellent, simple gifts, and their egg carton packaging
and raffia bows were so quintessentially "LUSH," falling perfectly in line with their uniquely minimalist, old fashioned grocers'
approach to presenting bath and beauty products.

As they increasingly aim to upscale the brand, such quirky simplicity often seems lost, if not forgotten.
Product description from the Lush North America Website:

The Jingle Spells Bath Ballistic is what you need after overindulging. It's a great pity you can only get this for three months of the year
because party time happens all year round! The Lush elves make this one with essential oils to ease hangovers by detoxifying, toning
and relaxing your body; juniperberry also revives your mind. The reindeer pick up a big stock of them on Christmas Eve and Santa
Claus drops them in everyone's stocking. We wish! Actually you have to buy them yourselves. The wise will stock up.

Ingredients list from the Lush North America Website:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Juniperberry Oil (Juniperus communis), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Fennel Oil

This is one of Lush's best ever Christmas Bubble Bars, and it's a darn shame they've never allowed it to return for another year!

Product description from the Christmas 2002 Lush Times:

This year's snowman is a bubble bar slice, not a ballistic, but it's difficult to tell just by looking at him so please remember to throw him
in the bath while it's running not afterwards or else you won't get many bubbles. He has a marvellously attractive scent, which makes
you want to get close and sniff him; there's refreshing mandarin, soothing sandalwood, and sweet vanilla. If I were you, I'd stock up.
Fortunately he doesn't melt in spring.

Ingredients list from the Christmas 2002 Lush Times:

Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar (Tartaric acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Magnesium Carbonate, Perfume, Lauryl Betaine, Silver
Mirror Glitter (Copolymer), Mandarin Oil (Citrus nobilis), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia),
Cocamide DEA
Product description from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

We've made a round Tisty Tosty just so it will fit into our Three Christmas Wishes Ballistic trio.  Three magic spells for people who still
believe in Santa Claus (or wish they did.)  The Three Christmas Wishes create such beautiful bath times that they may even convert
the most "Bah! Humbug!" of your friends and family to a "Happy Christmas, one and all!" type.
If you're anything like me, you're already getting your wishes together for the new year (and if one of them is shiny hair, thanks to
today's new reviews, you can now cross that off your listed as already having been sorted!)
Product description from the Lush North America Website:

Ultimate shine is a lovely white bar with gold sparkly bits (not loads, just enough to leave a couple of strategically placed sparkles in
your hair). It also helps it to shine by using spicy elemi and ylang ylang oils to balance sebum production; ylang ylang oil, incidentally,
is used with coconut oil as a hair dressing in the South Sea Islands. Deliciously sweet violet leaf oil is said to relieve anger and anxiety
so you can shine socially too - possibly.

Ingredients list from the Lush North America Website:

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Perfume, Elemi Oil (Canarium commune), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata),
Violet Leaf Oil (Viola odorata), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Golden Glitter (Polyethylene terephthalate and FD&C Yellow

perfume, followed by lavendin which is a less concentrated form of lavender.

Product description from the Christmas 1999 Lush Times:

A snowy flurry of lavender scented fizz will fill your bathroom with the relaxing fragrance of a Lavender Blissard bath ballistic when you
slide into a warm bath and drop it into the water. This is the Ballistic for people whose Christmas isn't the most stress-free time of the
year. Buy this for whoever has to cook Christmas dinner, entertain the kids, be nice to the stroppy relatives, or perform any of the many
other tasks which make the holidays better for the rest of us. If this person is you, make sure you have a decent supply stashed away
for yourself, so when things get tough you can sneak off, lock yourself in the bathroom, and fizz away your frazzles.

Ingredients list from the Christmas 1999 Lush Times:

Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, Atlantic sea salt, perfume, lavendin, lavender flowers
One of Lush's best, most adorable, most universally lovable Christmas gifts for 2006.

Product description from the Lush North America Website:

If you had three wishes and you wished for: a) a fruity body 2) a spicy massage 3) a herbal, hangover cure then the Three Wishes
Christmas special gift stack would be ideal. We recommend that you keep several in stock for everyone you accidentally forgot to buy a
present for.

Quite likely one of the worst ever gift ideas ever thought up by Lush, this is a soap (Snowcake) and Bath Ballistic (Plum Duff) set,
attached to one another, leeching each others' moisture, and crumbling like the dickens!

But it's still fun for those who never tried it to see it and for those of us who have done to slag it off, innit?  haha!

Product description from the Christmas 2001 Lush Times:

A two tone slice of cream and plum for a delicious, Yuletide pudding scented bath. The Plum Duff Ballistic fizzes away to give you plum
coloured bath water and a slice of fruity soap to wash yourself clean. The Donner & Blitzen exists to cheer up everyone torn between
enjoying sweeties at Christmas and still fitting into their clothes in January.
